Form of workSt James College is a progressive Co-educational Catholic Years 5-12 College in the Edmund Rice tradition offering high quality, award winning, innovative academic, skills and training pathways to students, with an emphasis on global learning and achieving aspirations for students from very diverse multicultural backgrounds.All applicants are expected to contribute to the ethos of the Edmund Rice Touchstones and Co-Curricular program of the College. The position will have a lighter teaching component along with Acting Overall Leader for 2024 and ongoing Engagement Leader for 2025 onwards.
Selection Criteria:
Experienced Teacher
- Lead effectively, collaboratively, with innovative approaches in line with the College’s strategic vision.
- Ensure activities and processes of the College, staff, students, and parents interact to uphold the ethos of compassion, liberation and inclusion.
- Provide leadership in intervention, Student Engagement, with proactive and reactive strategies.
- Lead the College’s student welfare and pastoral care teams, in a trauma informed, best practice framework, with clear mandatory protection processes.
- Lead in collaboration of all stakeholders/ with knowledge/ experience of diverse learners of multicultural backgrounds.
