As the Western Australian Government agency providing shared services to the State’s public health system, we provide a suite of financial, ICT, procurement and supply, and workforce services to more than 50,000 employees across WA’s public health services and hospitals.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced person for the role of Director, Human Resources and Capability.
This is a permanent, full-time appointment.
As part of the Health Support Services (HSS) Workforce and Organisational Development Business Unit, the Director, Human Resources and Capability is responsible for:

  • Contributing to the strategic direction and management of HSS;
  • Developing and leading a team of HR Business Partners to work with HSS leaders and Executive to manage and drive business performance;
  • Developing and delivering HSS Organisational and Learning and Development (OD) activities and strategy, with a focus on increasing the capability to deliver high customer centric performance ensuring the learning and Capability development is aligned to strategic priorities;
  • Ensuring delivery of an effective Workplace Health & Safety service to HSS; and
  • Developing and delivering an Industrial Relations (IR) function consistent with the whole of Health and HSS strategic priorities and industrial environment.
Ensuring all HR, WHS, organisational development, diversity and inclusion and workforce planning initiatives are aligned to the overall HSS strategy and implemented across HSS in an effective manner to increase overall performance and Capability of the workforce.
