The Opportunity:
The Marketing and Commercial Operation Lead plays a pivotal role that integrates the responsibilities of the former Marketing Lead and Business Excellence Lead positions.
This role involves developing ANZ Allergan Aesthetics Marketing strategy, in alignment with International Marketing & Commercial Operation (IMCO), to enable superior performance across the brands. Lead the AA ANZ Marketing and enable effective planning and implementation of the Marketing Brand plans.
It also encompasses driving business excellence initiatives, enhancing customer engagement, and ensuring effective sales and marketing operations. The position requires collaboration across various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the global strategy and local market needs.
Build a high-performing team, including strong people development. Play an active enterprise leadership role across the entire AbbVie organization, including active participation as a member of the Allergan Aesthetics Leadership team.
What you'll be doing
Strategic Marketing and Commercial Leadership:
- Drive the development of short- and long-term marketing strategies, and brand campaigns/tactics to ensure that all product opportunities are optimized for Allergan Aesthetics, ANZ.
- C hampion Business Excellence initiatives, focusing on improving sales force operation effectiveness, and growth.
- Foster customer engagement transformation and customer experience optimization to support AA ANZ as the 'partner of choice
- In partnership with key internal stakeholders, drive new product launch excellence.
- Drive business development opportunities as required
Planning and budget management:
- Prepare the annual strategic plan input, annual budget input, LRP input for AA ANZ.
- In collaboration with internal stakeholders, prepare and manage the functional budget.
- Join the S&OP forecasting process.
Operational Excellence and Analytics:
- In partnership with key internal stakeholders, drive, and shape One Integrated Cross-functional Operational Plan to maximize AA brand Share of Voice and business / patient impacts. Drive excellence in execution when implementing plans.
- Ensure brand performance is tracked and provide updated forecasts in line with Allergan's financial planning process.
- Segmentation and targeting, and Sales Incentive Operationalization.
- Implement and oversee the use of CRM tools (e.g., VEEVA) and business analytics to drive sales force effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Ensure activities are evaluated for cost-effectiveness.
- Market intel and insight generation to support businesses to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate closely with sales, legal, compliance, finance, and supply chain teams to optimize the operational model and ensure seamless execution of strategies.
Commercial Capability:
- Own training and education to ensure compliance and drive productivity and multi-channel capability improvements.
- Commercial Capabilities - Implement commercial competency frameworks as per international strategy and take responsibility for the Commercial training function.
- Assess capabilities, recommend and implement training interventions to drive sales & marketing excellence improvements.
- Work with the local Training Manager to develop a curriculum and capability development plan, supported by the commercial leadership and sales management teams
- Collaborate closely with the global Talent (L&D) team, and local HR team to drive the design and implementation of a first-line manager curriculum.
Customer Experience Excellence
- Management of Customer Service, supervising staff, and taking proactive action to ensure customer service levels meet the business requirements.
- Navigating ways for continuous improvement of customer services
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide effective leadership and direction to build, develop, and motivate your team to become high-performing.
- Create a positive team environment through the demonstration of strong leadership behaviors, including communicating expectations, instilling an atmosphere of trust and respect, and leading by example.
- Use a mix of coaching and development tools to help each team member realize their full potential. Performing all related people management activities, including recruiting new team members, conducting performance reviews, coaching for improved performance, reward and recognition, etc.
- Ensure all activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of relevant tertiary qualifications - science, healthcare, business or marketing-related degree
- Pharmaceutical sales or business excellence experience and 6+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience
- Marketing experience with a major (top 10) pharmaceutical company would be highly regarded
