About the role
In collaboration with the General Manager and executive team, the Director Clinical Services leads the development of patient-centred care and appropriate workforce strategies to deliver a great experience for our patients; effective, efficient and safe service delivery; improvements to health outcomes for our region and to promote Calvary Central Districts Hospital as a centre of excellence, and an integrated part of Calvary South Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage CCDH’s clinical departments and units, empowering managers to grow their teams and foster an engaged and productive workforce.
- Lead the implementation and review of Clinical Governance processes that align with Calvary’s national Clinical Governance Framework, and to ensure CCDH maintains accreditation.
- Lead, shape and promote patient centred care and quality clinical service as central to CCDH operations.
- Operationalise the strategic and business planning processes and outcomes, working collaboratively in developing the Local Service Plan and contribute to monitoring of goals and outcomes.
- Lead the provision of evidence based best practice clinical care across the site, and oversee multidisciplinary service provision and conformance with best practice standards.
What you bring
- Registered Nurse holding a current practicing certificate
- Post Graduate qualification in management/health related field is highly desirable
- Senior management experience in the healthcare sector
- Highly developed knowledge of Clinical and corporate governance (e.g. risk, safety, compliance)
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
- Understanding of WHS requirements, regulations and injury management processes
- Knowledge of health fund principles and practices
