Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Manager Finance and Corporate Services forms part of the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Mental Health Service Executive. The primary purpose of this role is to drive the performance of the Mental Health Service in line with strategic directions, ensuring resources are managed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
This position takes overall leadership, management, and ownership of Mental Health Services financial performance and has overall responsibility for both the Finance team and the Corporate Services teams.
This role will report to the General Manager Mental Health Services.

Essential Requirement:
- Qualification: Tertiary qualifications within Finance discipline
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualification within finance discipline and/or demonstrated experience managing financial operations of a complex Health Service (or similar body) including understanding of the current challenges involved with health reform, risks and major cost drivers impacting on the Health Service's financial position and demonstrated success in financial and economic analysis. CPA qualification will be highly regarded.
- Extensive experience managing full cycle of budgetary processes including budget setting, monitoring and reporting of the development and implementation of financial management policy.
- Demonstrated advanced analytical and problem-solving skills using variety of data systems such as financial, statistical, HR and management systems to pro-actively improve business processes
- Prior experience and/or understanding in the use of case weighted and/or activity funding to improve business performance.
- Proven high level interpersonal skills including the ability to lead and monitoring the education and coaching of stakeholders, including cost centre managers in the access, monitoring, analysis and usage of business, performance systems.
- Demonstrated extensive experience and proficiency in using financial computer systems such as Oracle as well as high level computer skills in PC based applications such as, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
