About the role
Provide high level clinical and functional management of the North West HHS Oral Health service, to support state-wide delivery of Oral Health services, and the achievement of targets in Oral Health treatment and prevention.
Maintain appropriate standards of service, statistical reporting and strategic planning for Oral Health Services across the HHS.
This position is responsible for the supervision of all Oral Health Services staff within the HHS.
Requirements
- Experience in managing a dental practice or Oral Health team/unit/department.
- Superior knowledge and ability to provide high quality Oral Health Services at general practitioner level or above.
- Knowledge and understanding of Integrated Team Dentistry and the ability to implement and manage appropriate changes to ensure the provision of high-quality service across multiple service areas.
- Mandatory requirements are a tertiary qualification in dentistry (Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Science or equivalent) and current registration with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- VPD risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- For successful applicant: Section 63-1A of the Aged Care Act 1997 requires Queensland Health to seek a criminal conviction record report from the Australian Federal Police; conduct a search of bankruptcy records; and conduct previous employment and referee checks.
- A 6-month period of probation may apply.
