As a Gold Licensed caterer, Fresh delivers a range of experiences to suit any brief from intimate executive dinners, corporate conferences, weddings, cocktail events and large-scale major/outdoor events.
As we continue to expand our presence in Victoria, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Sales & Events. Reporting to the COO, the Director of Sales & Events is responsible for driving business development, outbound sales, and lead generation to exceed budgeted revenues. This role oversees all catering streams, including offsite events, panel venue catering, and in-office functions, as well as exclusive event venues where Fresh is the preferred caterer. Collaboration with the marketing team is essential to implement marketing strategies that drive leads and enquiries.
About you
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role with a luxury hotel, hospitality group or catering company
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing sales and events teams to achieve budgeted revenues and profits
- A dedicated leader who is dynamic and passionate about food & beverage
- Autonomous and self-driven leader
- Exceptional time management & communication skills
- Sound organisational and computer skills Priava experience is desirable
- High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task/manage multiple events
- Ability to make calculated decisions, in line with company policies & procedures
- Exceptional personal presentation
- Outgoing personality with strong sales and negotiation skills
- Enjoy adapting to a fast paced, project focused environment
- Pro-active and innovative approach to potential clients
- Tertiary qualifications are desirable
The Role
- Develop and implement annual sales strategies for all catering streams and exclusive venues.
- Lead and manage the sales team to generate new business opportunities and exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the Director of Events to maximize conversion of inbound and outbound sales leads.
- Work closely with marketing to develop campaigns that generate leads and enquiries.
- Identify target market segments and tender opportunities for corporate contracts.
- Maintain client accounts and build loyalty through quality service and relationship management.
- Research and prepare tenders for new contracts and business opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market intelligence to drive growth.
