The Women's Clinical Excellence and Systems Improvement Unit comprises the Systems Improvement Project Team, the Strategy, Planning and Performance Team as well as the Quality and Safety Team. These teams play an integral role in identifying and responding to the needs of patients and consumers, facilitate the achievement of our strategic directions, and drive a culture of innovation and best practice.

In this brand new position, as the Director of Systems Improvement you will be a key leader responsible for the strategic and operational performance of the Systems Improvement Project Team, and the evolution and implementation of an effective project management function at the Women’s.

You will be able to use your proven experience as a change management leader as well as your experience in the design and successful delivery of complex projects, to oversee, drive and support delivery and implementation of key strategic projects across the Women's including quality, systems and service delivery improvement.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

Please be aware that in line with the Health Minister's Covid-19 Mandatory Vaccination Order, all workers at the Women's regardless of role, will be required to be fully vaccinated (3 doses) for COVID-19 or hold an acceptable medical exemption.

Influenza Vaccination Requirement

In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required.

As this role fits into category C of the departments risk ratings, applicants are strongly encouraged (although not required) to be vaccinated against influenza.)

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold proven experience as a change management leader, delivering complex change management support to major projects impacting at an organisation-wide level?
Essential: Do you have relevant experience in the design and successful delivery of complex projects, service redesign or innovation in practice?
Essential: Are you able to demonstrate significant expertise in using and teaching/coaching others in the use of relevant project management methodologies?
Desirable: Do you have experience working in a similar role within the Health Sector?
