The Benevolent Society is seeking expressions of interest for the Director Practice:

  • Full-time role ideally based in one of our corporate hubs, but flexible across NSW, QLD & SA

About the role

The Director Practice provides leadership to the Practice team whose purpose is to partner with operational teams to deliver practice excellence to support our clients to feel safe and live their best life. Through partnership with operational leaders and informed by your extensive practice and operational knowledge, you will develop and consistently implement The Benevolent Society's approach to practice across all areas of service delivery. You will ensure that governance processes and practice frameworks are robust, high quality, evidence-informed, contemporary, client safe and aligned with and support the organisational strategic direction.

Duties

  • Develop and implement the organisation's practice standards and approach to professional supervision in line with respective roles and disciplines.
  • Build a continuous improvement culture around practice development and implementation across the organisation through influence and leadership
  • Ensure all areas of service delivery have the necessary evidence-based practice support tools.
  • Respect and promote human rights and diversity and commitment to building an inclusive and culturally competent culture.
  • Collaborate with key operational stakeholders and relevant national office functions to ensure that the efficacy and quality of practice is maintained and continually improved.
  • A degree in a relevant field, and relevant post graduate degree would be desirable
  • Significant experience in human services, therapeutic and/or allied health
  • Advanced ability to design and implement integrated systems and processes to align practice with expected standards
  • Well-developed skills in organisational development and change management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams
  • Well-developed collaboration skills including an ability to achieve results through influence

  • An interest in using data to ensure practice outcomes are being achieved consistently across the organisation
  • Exceptional professional judgement and knowledge of the foundations of human services practice

  • Strong leadership presence to inspire excellence and outcomes
  • Strong management skills including troubleshooting, managing multiple deadlines, staff and client conflict resolution, performance management
