Strategic procurement role within a dynamic organisation of high achievers
Your new company
Join a well regarded organisation in Canberra in a newly created role which will lead a procurement team and implement the procurement strategy across the organisation. The function of this team is to provide strategic advice on procurements and manage a diverse range of contracts through established panels in a decentralised model.
Your new role
You will implement leading edge procurement strategies, review contractor performance and drive efficiencies and savings through commercial agreements. You will need to demonstrate extensive experience providing strategic procurement advice, have good interpersonal & negotiation skills and be able to represent the organisation in a wide range of forums with the ability to apply your intelligence to solving real problems and have a strong customer service focus.
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring extensive experience leading a procurement function by providing strong leadership and direction to complex procurements, including the ability to develop the team through formal and on the job coaching. In addition, you will have a desire and ability to review systems and processes, bringing them to a level of best practice.
You will have relevant Tertiary qualifications, strong analytical skills and a commercial focus.
