At Medical First group, you will be part of building something never seen before in the Latrobe Valley; a new NDIS support service hub. We aim to provide NDIS support to our community by having all the services offered in one location. We will support you and provide you with the tools you need to succeed. It is an exciting time to be involved in a cohesive primary healthcare team which includes nurses, GP’s and Allied Health. As an Allied Health Professional, you will support NDIS participants to enrich and uphold their independence in the community and at home.
We are seeking multiple Graduate/qualified Allied Health professionals including:
- Occupational Therapist.
- Psychologist
- Physiotherapist
- Speech Pathologist
The successful candidates will require:
- Allied health qualification (Bachelor/Masters) in any of the above-mentioned fields.
- Current and valid APHRA registration
- A valid driver license.
- Experience working in the NDIS care sectors desirable.
- Experience working with people from broad ages (0-65).
- NDIS worker screening check.
- Medical First Group complies with infectious disease control and immunization requirements under legislation. This position is classified as Healthcare Worker B. Evidence of immunisation history and any government mandated vaccinations e.g. COVIS 19 must be provided prior to appointment unless otherwise medically exempt (evidence of medical exception must be supplied).
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Deliver Allied Health services in the clinic and/or via telehealth, depending on participants requirements.
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to support participants capacity building.
- Liase with participants, families, carer and support coordinators.
- Complete report writing to support a participants plan review process.
