As the Director, Regulatory Communications, you will lead and manage a high performing multi-disciplinary team to develop, deliver and evaluate integrated marketing communication, public relations and engagement strategies which support and promote Harm Prevention and Regulation's vision and key priorities internally and externally.
Key responsibilities of the Director, Regulatory Communications role include:
- Oversee and monitor the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative and effective communication, media and digital strategies that deliver key messages to diverse audiences, supporting HPR and whole of government strategic priorities.
- Provide expert advice to the Minister's office, Deputy Director-General, Executive Leadership Team, senior management and other key stakeholders on strategic corporate and stakeholder communication, media and issues management.
- Ensure effective strategies are developed and implemented to engage and gain commitment from peak stakeholder groups with program activities.
- Ensure effective governance practices underpin the activities of the team.
- Play a senior role in media and issues management that affect HPR's reputation and profile.
- Proactively build and maintain strong internal and external relationships at all organisational levels.
- Stimulate ideas and innovation, supporting team members and driving a team culture that challenges issues, engages with risk and commits to action.
- Develop and mobilise talent through effective performance development of team members.
- Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the staff over which you have responsibility.
