This newly created role will attract a person with an appropriate amount of energy and drive to set up and create a new function/Centre of Excellence, supporting the messaging around a new CPO.

As the Director - Remuneration and Benefits, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. You'll have the opportunity to shape the rewards and compensation programs to ensure they align with the organisational goals and values, whilst also staying competitive in the ever-changing landscape of academia. But it doesn't stop there! As a true advisor to the CPO, this role extends beyond rewards and compensation, offering you the opportunity to have input into strategic projects enterprise wide. This is a chance to make a real impact on the lives and careers of both Faculty and employees, while contributing to the success of the institution as a whole. Some duties include;

  • Develop and implement comprehensive rewards and compensation policies and programs that support the strategic objectives and promote employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure the compensation packages remain competitive and compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Partner with People & Culture colleagues and senior leaders to provide expert advice and guidance on all matters related to rewards and compensation
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practice, recommending adjustments to programs as needed to maintain a competitive edge
This role requires current valid working rights for Australia.
About you:
  • Extensive experience in Remuneration and Benefits management, preferably in a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organisation.
