This role is full-time Academic position for Director Teaching and Learning in the TD School.
Detailed Description
Lead the Future:
Take charge of implementing strategic plans related to Teaching and Learning, advising the Head of TD School, , on future developments. Contribute to the development of Faculty T&L Strategy aligned with UTS frameworks and ongoing review of academic program sustainability.
Build Collaborative Networks:
Forge strong internal relationships with Course Directors, Faculty General Manager, and external relationships with industry, government, and community representatives. Collaborate with central administration, fellow Faculties, and participate in industry advisory groups.
Drive Excellence:
Ensure excellence in Teaching and Learning by overseeing the management of courses and programs. Implement, monitor, and review TD School's T&L Strategy and Quality Framework to maintain high-quality standards across all academic programs.
Inspire Innovation:
Lead the development, delivery, and quality of all courses, introducing new programs that cater to the future learning needs of students. Think from a pan-University perspective and contribute to the growth and success of TD School.

Qualifications:
- PhD (or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to the research and teaching areas in TD School
- Currently at Level B or higher (or equivalent level of academic appointment)
- Track record in leading Teaching and Learning.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies for excellence and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Industry relationship-building expertise.
- Understanding of transdisciplinary Teaching and Learning.
Remuneration/Salary
What can UTS offer you?
This appointment will be made on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this role, the initial 3-year period will be as the Director, Teaching and Learning; thereafter you will revert to your continuing academic role within the TD School. For external applicants, continuing academic position details will be discussed at interview with candidates.
Base Salary Range: $142,739 to $163,924 pa (Level C) - Senior Lecturer
Base Salary Range: $172,048 to $188,604 pa (Level D) - Associate Professor
