THE ROLE

The Director, Victim Survivor Programs provides strategic and programmatic leadership, develops and delivers evidence informed approaches to the development and program management of family violence and sexual assault services. The role supports continuous improvement in performance and service quality in family violence and sexual assault services. The Director works in partnership with colleagues across FSV, government and sector to implement and operationalise family violence and sexual assault programs and services.

The Director is responsible for three teams comprising approximately 28 staff in total and a program budget for $385 million per annum.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Establish, lead and manage the newly established Victim Survivor Programs Unit which brings to more cohesively and effectively translate policy into service delivery for Victim Survivors. The Unit is keenly focused on achieving improved client and community outcomes and delivering on the intent of Victoria's family and sexual violence reform agenda.
  • Lead the development, implementation and program management of specialist family violence and sexual assault programs and services for Victim Survivors
  • Lead on the delivery of family violence crisis accommodation services and partner effectively with Homes Victoria to support the delivery of refuge capital projects and ensure that Victim Survivors can appropriately access social and affordable housing options.
