Daily Tasks:
- Administer or assist participants with medications in accordance with their medication chart and care plan.
- Support participants to develop and maintain independence and safety in personal care, and health and hygiene such as eating, dressing, toileting, and showering.
- Developing and implementing programs with the participant to grow their living skills and abilities so they are more able to make decisions affecting their lives, live as independently as possible and participate in the community.
- Support our participants with skill sets to improve living within the community.
- Utilise internal personal support plans for participants who demonstrate challenging behaviours and/or with high physical support needs and complex mental health issues.
- All tasks to be completed in the participants' residence.
- Liaising with clients to assess the difficulties they face and how to assist them in bettering their life, which includes providing support plans and other relevant support.
- The ability to maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships to provide clients with additional resources.
- Regularly monitoring the clients and maintaining up to date reports to ensure whether the care plans are adequate with the individuals progress, or they require to be modified to fit their needs.
A few more things which will assist you in delivering the above tasks:
- Cert III, IV in Disability and Individual Support or an equivalent of 2 years' experience required.
- Experience with mental health, complex and challenging behaviours, and high physical support needs will be highly regarded.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence and vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Manual Handling training and certificate.
- The ability to develop positive relationships with our clients and to support their individual care plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Hours of Work:
Hours are flexible in accordance with NDIS participants' plans, however if you are a fantastic disabilities Services Officer, we will certainly accommodate flexible work hours.
