We require staff for Disability Services Officers roles to support people living with an intellectual disability. We have a person-centred approach. We are focused on helping people to achieve their individual dreams, goals and our values are to assist people with disabilities to experience a great life and enhancing their independent living skills.
We have opened new Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses in the northern suburbs and seeking multiple Disability Services Officers. These roles are working across a seven-day roster and willingness to work passive nights and weekends is a must.
Essential requirements for this role are as follows:
- Hold a Certificate III or above in Disability / Individual Support or equivalent.
- Experience supporting people with disability and behaviours of concern utilizing an empathetic and person-focused approach.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Current DCSI Screening / NDIS Worker Check
- Ability to use computers, tablets and smartphones.
- An unrestricted South Australian Driver's License
- Hold an assist with medication certificate.
- Midazolam trained
- Able to obtain and provide evidence of vaccinations against COVID-19
