Job Description: We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives and promoting their independence. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, personal care, mobility, and social interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities.
• Assist with daily tasks such as dressing, bathing, and meal preparation.
• Support clients in community engagement and social activities.
• Administer medication and medical treatments as required.
• Document and report client progress and any incidents.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Disability Support or a related field is preferred but not essential.
• Compassionate and patient with a genuine interest in helping others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of disability-related issues and challenges.
• Availability to work Sleepover Shifts and Weekends.
• Worker Screening Clearance Card.
• Blue Card.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• First Aid/CPR.

Candidates are not required to hold a current care qualification as in house training for the specific role will be provided but relevant qualifications are highly regarded.

Successful candidates who are unqualified will be offered a traineeship and will participate in paid training prior to starting rostered shifts.
