TLC First Support Services is a small Disability Service Provider that has been established for the past 3 years. We passionately believe in our motto "from caring comes courage.” We believe in empowering our staff and motivating them to develop within the TLC we are passionate about supporting our staff to enable them to carry that support through to our participants.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Disability Support Workers to support female SIL participants in providing high-quality support. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our participants by promoting their independence, community participation, and overall quality of life.
Qualifications & experience
Current Medication Endorsement (Essential): Ability to safely administer medication to participants.
Current First Aid (Essential): Capability to respond effectively to medical emergencies.
Certificate III in Disability/Individual Support (Essential): Foundational qualification in Disability Support.
Availability for overnight sleepover shifts (Essential): Ability to provide support during nighttime hours, morning shifts afternoon shifts, willing to work weekends.
Infection control training and certification.
Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or ability to attain): Understanding of the NDIS framework (preferred).
Competent IT skills: Proficiency in using technology for documentation and communication.
Current Driver's Licence and own transport (preferred): Flexibility in supporting participants in the community.
Police check within the last 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality support and care to participants in Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses and in the community.
Enhance individual needs and promote participant independence.
Encourage community participation and social integration.
Ensure the provision of consistent support to participants by working a varied pattern of shifts
Maintain accurate documentation and records.
Demonstrate competent IT skills for effective communication and resource access.
