We're seeking a mature and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team and support our clients in Flinders View, Ipswich. You'll play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.
About the Role:
- Provide support in Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments.
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, including personal care, showering, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients to access and participate in community activities and appointments.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for clients.
- Develop positive and respectful relationships with clients, their families, and carers.
- Work collaboratively with the wider support team to ensure clients' needs are met.
- Participate in shift work, including inactive overnight shifts.

What You'll Bring:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Disability Support Worker (or similar role).
- A strong understanding of disability and a commitment to providing person-centred support.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A reliable and compassionate nature with a positive and proactive attitude.
- A current driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle, with a willingness to travel within the Ipswich region.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and valid First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain).
