ABOUT YOUR ROLE
This is a casual Disability Support Worker role where you will be assisting customers with a variety of disabilities, prioritising tasks efficiently, and cultivating a supportive atmosphere that encourages independence and development. You will be providing care to our customers in home and out in the community. If you're passionate about making a difference in people's lives, we want you on our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Assisting with daily tasks (home duties, personal care, meal prep, peg feeding)
- Assisting through complex and challenging behaviours
- Providing companionship
- Transporting customers
- Manual handling
REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will have or be willing to obtain;
- Previous experience in disability with complex behaviours
- Experience in implementing Positive Behaviour Support plans
- Flexible availability for a 24/7 roster
- Valid drivers licence (P2 or open)
- COVID-19 vaccinations (x2 doses)
- CPR and First Aid certificate
