Salary: Negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience (SCHADS Award) Level 1 and Level 2.

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Disability Support Worker who is also a gaming geek! If you have a love for Dungeons and Dragons, Board Games, Tabletop RPGs, Warhammer, Video Games, or any combination thereof, we want to hear from you. While it's not mandatory to have expertise in all areas, a willingness to learn and understand these interests to better connect with our clients is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including home and community environments.
- Engage clients in activities tailored to their interests and preferences, with a particular focus on gaming-related activities.
- Facilitate tabletop gaming sessions, including Dungeons and Dragons campaigns, board game nights, and other roleplaying experiences.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where clients feel empowered to participate and express themselves.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop creative and engaging programming for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress towards goals.
Requirements:
- Genuine interest and enthusiasm for gaming, including but not limited to Dungeons and Dragons, Board Games, Tabletop RPGs, Warhammer, and Video Games.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
- Ability to adapt and tailor support strategies to meet the unique needs of each individual client.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust.
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development opportunities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must possess a Yellow Card, Blue Card, valid driver's licence, and comprehensive car insurance.
- First Aid and CPR certification highly preferred; assistance can be provided in obtaining these certifications if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Dungeon Master (DM) or Game Master (GM) in tabletop roleplaying games.
- Familiarity with accessibility considerations for individuals with disabilities in gaming environments.
