Disability Support Worker - Individual Apartment Living

We are recruiting Individual Apartment Living, SupportWorkers, in the Sutherland Shire area of Sydney. This is a greatopportunity to be a part of a team that offers guidance, training,and ongoing support.

You could earn up to $33.22 per hour as a baserate.  Shift penalties also apply!

Sylvanvale Limited is an award winning, not-for-profit servicesprovider, supporting over 750 children and adults with adisability. We pride ourselves on assisting individuals, from arange of diverse cultural backgrounds, to live and participate intheir community as they choose.

This is an exciting service offering, where we provide drop-insupport in apartment complexes for people with a disability whoneed some assistance to live independently. This support couldinclude personal care, social support, cooking and cleaningassistance.  This support is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days aweek so we have a variety of shifts available to suitanyone’s lifestyle.

We are seeking compassionate, patient and kind naturedindividuals who:

• Have experience in either Disability Support or aged care, ideally with customers who have high intensity support needs and manual handling requirements.
• Can problem solve and negotiate with clients on support times.
• Have clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Can operate under time pressures and manage competing demands.
• Are open to learning about the new model and its’ differences to SIL.

Successful applicants will require a current NSW Drivers Licenceand a full COVID-19 vaccination and booster. An offer will besubject to a police clearance, a pre-employment medical, a currentFirst Aid Certificate, proof of Australian work rights and a NDISWorker Screening Check.
