About the role:
We have multiple opportunities for new employees to join our team. We are looking for Support Workers who are flexible, have a range of availability and who have a passion for supporting a range of individuals.
We are seeking Disability Support Workers, who can work in Templestowe / Doncaster and Ivanhoe in our supported accommodation homes.
We are looking for staff who can do non active sleepover shifts, from 3 or 4pm to 8 or 9am and Day shifts. We require commitment of at least 2 shifts per week.
Your duties will include
- Supporting people to achieve their individual goals in line with their NDIS Plan
- Daily living support, including attending to personal care needs.
- Domestic duties such as vacuuming, laundry and general cleaning.
- Administering medications in line with medication management plans.
- Supporting people to access the community
- Behavioural support, including managing challenging behaviours and behaviours of concern.
- Implementing Behaviour Support Plans (BSP’s)
Mandatory Checks and Licenses
- NDIS Worker Check
- Working with Children Check
- Drivers License
- First Aid Certificate
- Evidence of Covid vaccination certificate
- Two professional references
- Right to work in Australia
- Cert IV in Disability or a relevant qualification and/or equivalent experience
