Disability Support Worker

Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers across Australia.
  
We are currently seeking Casual Support Workers to support people in SIL, & respite services across the Sunshine Coast - Little Mountain, Currimundi & Banya locations. 

Overview of the role:

• We have opportunities to support people in SIL arrangements & respite services.
• 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning, afternoon and overnight shifts.
• Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic assistance & meals.
• Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
  Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
• Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
• Use a company vehicle and/or your own vehicle to transport participants to community-based outings.

• Casual position with consistent hours & routine rosters however, to supplement consistent shifts staff ideally should be available to be pick up backfill shifts.

• $150 referral incentive, for each successful referral (subject to terms & conditions)

What you need:

• Completed or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)
• Australian Driver's License
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment
• National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to apply)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Reliable smart phone with data
