The role:
We are seeking workers to join a highly competent team supporting a gentleman in the Logan region. This young man is seeking a physically fit, confident, and kind support person to ensure quality supports are provided each shift. The support required is from community participation to overnight sleepover support. The gentleman requires competent and consistent support in the complex behavioural space. This is a long-term support role opportunity. In addition to demonstrated capacity or experience working in the disability behaviour support space, the role also requires a willingness to learn and build your skill set in positive behaviour support. Within this role you will receive real time mentorship and support from experienced leadership to fulfil your obligation to best practice.
This role requires.
- Positive yellow card/NDIS workers screening
- Open driver’s license.
- Certificate of COVID-19 up to date status.
- Certification of First Aid and current CP.
- Prior experience in complex behavioural support.
- Physically health for active shifts.
- Accurate record keeping and data input skills.
- Collaborating cohesively with a positive team perspective.
- Commitment to continuity of care.
- Completion of NDIS workers orientation training.
- Willingness to complete organisational induction training and NDIS worker orientation training.
- MAYBO certification encouraged to apply.
- Positive behaviour support and restrictive practice experience preferred and encouraged to apply.
