Alpha Disability Services is looking for experienced, caring and motivated staff to join our team in permanent, part time and casual roles to support people with disabilities.
We are currently looking for Team Leads and Carers for a number of positions.
You will be providing high-quality support to encourage and promote independence and facilitate connections with others. Duties may include personal care, social support, medication assistance, domestic assistance and transport. The role is varied, rewarding and relies on compassion and an ability to build real relationships with the people we support.
You will also have a flexible workplace and an ability to grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high quality daily client support to clients who have varying needs with a variety of disabilities, which includes personal care, manual handling and light domestic duties.
Participate in the care of clients including assisting clients with their personal care, social support, domestic assistance and transport.
Skills and Experience required
- Experience dealing with participants mental health and psycho social clients highly regarded.
- Ability to work across multiple clients.
- Certificate III or higher in care would be desirable but not essential.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one prior to commencing employment)
- First aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Manual handling Certificate is desirable.
- Police clearance certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- Current Driver's License & the ability to drive.
- You must have the rights to work in Australia.
- Be able to commit to consistent ongoing hours.
- Willing and able to provide domestic assistance services.
Experience working with people with disabilities in a home-based setting will be highly regarded.
