We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers, who are passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives. You will be working directly with complex trauma, psycho-social challenges and learning difficulties. You are a mature mentor and great listener with a dedication to ensure people feel heard, valued and empowered. With a passion to provide unique, person-centred support to achieve aspirations and goals, you enjoy relationship building and being a part of the journey with those in your care. Your approach is focused on respect, dignity and care.
The role will include providing quality Community Access support services to participants. This could include providing assistance with daily living and domestic duties, or accompanying participants to appointments or day activities. You will require a comprehensively insured and reliable vehicle, along with an unrestricted Drivers Licence.

- Certificate III in Home Care, Individual Support or Disability Services or equivalent and/or previous experience in the home care or disability sectors and/or willingness to complete a traineeship to obtain a relevant qualification and experience
- Demonstrated ability to complete job tasks in accordance with participant plans in a timely manner
- Ability to develop and maintain positive, dignified and respectful relationships with NDIS participants, their families and carers
- Ability to use clear and concise language in verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to calmly de-escalate emotive situations
- Ability to apply understanding of ‘duty of care’ to delivering support services and escalate issues when needed
- Demonstrated ability to write and maintain accurate written records and documentation
- Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical
