The Acquired Injury Support Services team within AnglicareTasmania are looking for people with a genuine desire to providethe best quality care for people with disabilities.

Disability Support Worker
Anglicare’s Disability Support Workers provide direct careand support to clients to ensure that their individual needs aremet. Anglicare works with clients using a person-centredapproach to assist and support clients to live a full life. The aimis to assist clients to develop additional skills in line withtheir goals and support plan.
The things that you may need to work with our clients on mayinclude:
- personal care (showering, grooming and dressing)
- medication administration
- meal preparation
- manual handling
- transport
- purchases
- social support
- record keeping and reporting
To join our team you must have thefollowing:
- Australian Residency status or valid Australian working rights
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability), or currently working towards one.
- Experience in the Disability Industry
- A current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence and an insured, reliable motor vehicle
- A current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration
- A National Police Check (Working with vulnerable peoples)
IMPORTANT
- Successful applicants are required to have an Anglicare Tasmania assessed medical before commencement.
- On commencement successful applicants will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
