About the role:

Our Distribution Centre is the backbone of our retail stores, delivering quality products to our customers across Australia. We are currently looking for a Shift Manager to join our Afternoon Shift team and oversee all aspects of the DC operations. You will report directly to the DC Operations Manager and work closely with other Shift Managers and stakeholders.
What's involved:
As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Building strong relationships with your team and your stakeholders
- Leading the entire shift team of approx. 60+ direct and indirect reports across all DC operations
- Supporting the Distribution Centre leadership team
- Rostering the team, managing salaries and wages and P & L reports
- Assisting with training new team members
- Providing coaching and mentoring to your team
- Ensuring safety, DIFOT/SIFOT metrics are communicated and monitored
- Driving safety performance within the DC, including reporting and investigating injuries and incidents
- Managing 3PL partners (Warehouse & Transport)
- Managing ad-hoc logistic functions (waste, contractors etc)

You'll need:
- Previous experience leading a team in a logistics-based environment
- A strong focus on driving safety
- Previous experience in managing P & L reports, salaries & wages
- Ability to coach and develop others, providing feedback and getting the best out of the team

- A passion for delivering excellent customer service

- Ability to work later afternoon shifts to evening, general hours will be Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10.30pm & Friday 12pm - 8.30pm, however, some flexibility is available.
