Your Purpose
Joining Fonterra in a Distributor Manager role, you will be responsible for delivering budgeted targets within your allocated territory, as well as identifying opportunities within the distributor network.
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to build on our current strategic partnerships within the NSW Foodservice Distributor network to the key accounts which are critical to the ongoing success of Fonterra Australia.
As part of this role, you will also create and implement sales plans that provide profitable growth opportunities for Fonterra.
This position offers a hybrid work model and will see you based at our Macquarie Park office, with the flexibility to also work from home. This role will see you manage a varied customer base (suburbs and regional) and this position will require travel to customer sites. Therefore, flexibility is critical for our position - and a current driver’s licence is essential.
A fully maintained company vehicle, mobile phone and laptop will be provided as Tools of Trade.
This role will also see you:
- Utilising selling processes to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with Distributor network
- Utilise trade spend for specific growth initiatives to deliver budgeted targets
- Engage Distributor sales teams and key decision makers to execute sales and marketing plans
- Implement and leverage National Account programs and initiatives at branch level set up by National Account Managers
- Work closely with business development executives acting in the end user space
- Plan and outline targeted growth initiatives utilising trade spend funds to achieve growth
About You
As an experienced salesperson, you will thrive in the challenge and opportunity this role offers. Your excellent communications skills and ability to engage with customers and stakeholders will be pivotal to success, as is your ability to bring people on the sales journey.
You will be driven by results and enjoy hunting for new opportunities and getting hands-on to make things happen – including new product launches and supporting our distributor’s sales teams.
- Food Service experience will be highly advantageous, but will also consider FMCG, or large company background
- Tertiary qualification Business/Commerce (desirable, not essential)
- 3-5 years selling and negotiation experience
- Strong team player, with excellent communication skills
- Boundless energy, resilience, and the ability to prioritise amidst a very busy and challenging day-to-day environment
- Customer centric, with strengths in problem solving & strategic ability
