This role is based in Access, Equity & Inclusion, within the Division of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) which supports UNSW’s diverse and inclusive community by working collaboratively with staff and students to drive broad and targeted positive change across the university.
Why your role matters:
As Diversity & Inclusion Officer, you will support the Division’s work across a range of equity, diversity and inclusion matters relevant to university staff and students. You will be a valued member of the Access, Equity and Inclusion Team, providing high quality administrative and effective logistical support to assist in the delivery of initiatives and programs managed by the Senior Diversity & Inclusion Officer as well as the Disability Inclusion Action Plan Program Manager.
Who You Are:
You will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent level of knowledge and experience alongside:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Demonstrated project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives, and documentation.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently whilst managing competing demands.
