Why your Role Matters
The Diversity and Inclusion Project Officer (Sage Athena Swan) supports the Athena Swan Leadership team and Access, Equity and Inclusion leadership in the project implementation of the Athena Swan Silver Award accreditation process. The role entails providing project and administration coordination and support, including documenting project progress and project delivery, meeting coordination, communication support and following up actions for SAGE Athena Swan, and supporting other Diversity and Inclusion projects at UNSW as required.
Who you are:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with a depth of subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, including gender equity issues and experience in supporting and implementing initiatives to address identified needs.
- Excellent organisational skills, proven ability to manage priorities, and conflicting needs while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail. Accreditation or other impact-related writing experience will be highly regarded.
- Sound stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated success liaising effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Office 365.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Demonstrated project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives, and documentation.
