About the role
The Asset Information Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the Gas Networks Information Manager's efforts to improve the team's in handling asset records with precision and efficiency. This involves ensuring that asset content is maintained and provided in a timely manner while maintaining the integrity of information storage and retrieval processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support asset information and records activities for operational, planning, project, and strategic business needs.
- Ensure timely access to current and relevant asset plans and information for all Jemena staff by following appropriate content management principles.
- Maintain knowledge of various information storage and management forms (electronic and manual) for asset information.
- Support essential stakeholder relationships by directly communicating with key Jemena personnel (particularly within Asset Management, Service Delivery, Project and Customer teams).

Ideally, you will exhibit discipline, organisation, and effective interpersonal skills. You should excel in team environments and demonstrate proficiency in engaging with others. Furthermore, you should approach business processes with structure, provide assistance to both internal and external clients, and ensure the integrity of records and documents.
You will also bring with you:
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in Information Management or related field
- Competent in records, document control, and information management
- Familiarity with relevant standards, regulations, and their application
- Proficient computer skills, and ideally a diverse knowledge of information systems
