About the role
We are seeking a dedicatedDoorways Case Worker! You will support community members to meet their goals through community partnerships, collaboration and case management.
Responsibilities include
- Work collaboratively with Corps Officers, Volunteers and Mission Leaders to deliver integrated approach to delivering Doorways at local site
- Use prevention and early intervention strategy response to deliver support and services to people experiencing disadvantage and financial hardship
- Provide effective response to people experiencing longer term disadvantage and generational poverty
- Support community members to build and increase capacity and develop independent living skills towards self determination
- Develop and maintain referral pathways for other support and services
This is a permanent part-time position 12 hours per week, based in Colac, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 4 Award.
You will have
- Degree level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or other Community/Human Services discipline is highly desirable, OR
- Diploma and minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the community services sector (would be considered)
- Ability to engage others with information to solve issues and problems jointly
- Ability to initiate and develop goals/plans and use feedback to inform future planning
