We are currently looking for a Drafting Team Leader to join our New Homes (Easystart Homes, New Generation Homes & Summit Homes) team in our state-of-the-art office in Myaree. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Drafting Manager on a daily basis and will be an integral part of the Drafting Team.
Your day to day would Include:
- Allocate daily workload to team members to contribute to monthly targets
- Checking of work produced by team members
- On Boarding of new team members
- Responding to queries both onsite and in office
- Liaising with Sales Consultants, Contracts Administration and other departments to achieve high quality and accurate work
- Liaising with Estimating to develop the most cost -effective designs
- Ensuring NCC requirements and R codes are met on all projects
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in single storey drafting in the residential building industry
- Double storey and survey strata drafting experience is preferred but not essential
- Sound building and construction knowledge
- Sound knowledge of Medium Density Codes
- Sound knowledge of R Codes & BCA
- Experience with ArchiCAD
- Strong problem solving skills and high attention to detail and accuracy
- Sound communication skills and ability to develop rapport with stakeholders
- Strong team skills
- Strong ability to meet strict timeframes and work under pressure
