Draftsperson

MMD Australia Pty Ltd is currently seeking a draftsperson with a “can do “attitude to join our team in our custom-build facility in Narangba in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. Reporting to the Projects Manager, the ideal candidate will have a broad-based understanding of heavy engineering, 3D modelling (Solid Works) and 2D drafting (AutoCAD/Draftsight). 
 

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Work with the projects team & customers to develop conceptual plant/equipment layouts.
• Producing detailed manufacturing drawing packs.
• Drawing support for manufacturing personnel and field service personnel.
• Updating and maintaining the drawing library/vault.
• Document control/issue of drawing packages to factory and/or customers.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• Experience with Solid Works (Intermediate user)
• Experience with AutoCAD/Draftsight
• Advanced diploma or equivalent in Engineering is desirable
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience
• Entitled to work in Australia
• Good levels of verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team
• Proficient in the design of mineral processing plants
• Efficient time management skills
