Form of work07th February, 2024 About our client Our client is a leading ASX top 100 listed lithium company who are proud of their continued success in Western Australia. They are positioned to become a major playing in the rapidly growing lithium supply chain.
Due to this continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Drill & Blast Engineer to join their team as they ramp up production. About the role Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, optimising, and monitoring of Drill and Blast activities. You are also responsible for the design of Drill and Blast patterns whilst ensuring compliance to environmental regulations and managing costs In particular, you will be responsible for: Production and review of D&B designs and tie-ins Monitor and recycle daily D&B activities and production against daily/ weekly plans Weekly and monthly reconciliation of blast performance including QA/QC data, fragmentation analysis and dilution/ ore loss from blasting Provide accurate data entry, validation and technical analysis Liaise with contractors, stakeholders and vendors for continued alignment with the mine plan Skills and Experiences required Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position Experience in hard rock mining Strong experience in mine production planning Sound knowledge and experience in the use of either Surpac/Vulcan/Desi and Alastri mining software Current WA class C manual drivers’ license.
