About the Role
As the DACS Level 3 Counsellor for this service, you will provide specialised counselling services to clients with a substance use disorder. This may include conducting assessments, developing case formulations and assessing factors such as mental health and psychosocial history. Throughout your commitment to this role, there will be times in which you will travel to provide this service to some of the smaller surrounding communities as outreach.
You will be supported by members of our large multidisciplinary team, as well as being linked in with a clinical supervisor. Education is provided monthly by the DACS team and further ongoing education is also encouraged.
Where you'll be working
The successful applicant will be located in Moree as a member of the multidisciplinary Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services team. You will work alongside other clinicians consisting of Nurses, Psychologists, Counsellors and Social Workers, and you will be required to provide counselling services to clients of the Mehi sector.
About You
The successful applicant will have the ability to work independently and have precise time management skills. You will be capable of prioritising competing demands and be able to adapt to a variety of clinical settings. You will also be required to travel one to two days per week to outlying areas to complete this role.
