Midnight Hotel is currently seeking a FULL-TIME DUTY MANAGER to join our team.
As a key member of our Front Office Team, you’ll be involved in all matters affecting guest service and hotel operations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel. You’ll play a vital role in delivering our premium and highly personalised guest experience and will respond to guest needs and issues as they arise. You will also supervise, direct and support the front office teams with their daily activities, knowledge, development and promotion of associated hotel activities.
Please note the Duty Manager roles will be based across a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
What we are looking for:
- Dynamic, vibrant, confident and professional personality
- Ability to demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to manage multiple tasks, conflicting deadlines and varying guest situations.
- High standard of personal presentation
- Previous experience using a Property Management System is essential (preferably Opera)
- Strong local knowledge of Canberra and the surrounding regions is highly desirable but not essential
- A current full Australian drivers licence is also highly desirable but not essential
- The flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- You must also meet the legal requirements to work in Australia.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a hotel Front Office operation, with exposure to both front desk and reservations procedures
- A minimum of 1 years experience in a leadership or supervisory Front Office role.
- Excellent customer relations, problem-solving, decision making and time management skills
