What you'll do
- As a Diploma qualified Educator, you will work as part of a team to provide high quality Early Childhood education and care to children and to plan and support the implementation of an approved learning framework.
- You will engage in the development, delivery and evaluation of a quality early learning program for children enrolled in the Centre, ensuring individual children's strengths, interests and needs are identified and their learning is enhanced.
- You will monitor and document children's development and progress through a diverse range of methods that reflect the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework and ensure that the service maintains operating standards as outlined in the National Quality Standards.

Situated within the beautiful grounds of the University of Sydney's Cumberland campus in Lidcombe, SDN Ngallia offers Early Childhood education and child care for 47 children per day from birth to school age.
Children and families are supported and encouraged to use the languages they speak at home while at the centre. Staff members speak 12 different languages altogether, including English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Tamil, Hindi, Nepali, Macedonian, Kurdish, Arabic, Croatian, Telugu, Spanish, Serbian and Persian. Our educational program recognises and responds to individual children's strengths, capabilities, culture, interests, current knowledge, ideas and experiences.
Who you are
- Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current Working with Children's Check (NSW)
- Knowledge of the National Quality Standards & Early Years Learning Framework
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable)
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Understanding of Child Protection legislation, including an approved & current Child Protection Training qualification
