Located in South-East QLD with a culturally diverse population,1 hour away from Sunshine coast and Gold coast, this public Hospital is at Brisbane's southern bayside area.
The emergency department manages approximately 55 000 patient presentations per annum and is accredited for 12 months for both provisional and advanced training with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM).
Lots of shifts in the dedicated paediatric area and working towards completion of the paediatric logbook and new ACEM fellows.
A PEM consultant and others working part-time in tertiary centres, several of our group have special interests in pre-hospital/retrieval (LifeFlight), ultrasound (CCPU), medical education/simulation, rural/remote medicine (ACRRM) and geriatrics.
Non-emergency rotations available:
" Tertiary ED (6 months at Gold Coast University Hospital)
" Anaesthetics (6 months)
" Medicine (6 months)
" Paediatric ED (6 months at QLD Children's Hospital ED
" Intensive care medicine (6 months at Gold Coast University Hospital)
" USS and medical education/simulation special skills posts (soon to come)
