Chisholm's Hospitality Department is seeking an experienced Education Manager to join the department on a full time, ongoing basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Education Manager- Hospitality Department, is a key member of the Hospitality Business Area and Education Manager network within Chisholm and provides contemporary teaching and learning leadership and expertise in their subject matter area and educational excellence.
The Hospitality Department offers courses at various AQF levels, including Front of House, Back of House, Patisserie, short courses and VETDSS delivery across a variety of cohorts and a number of campuses including workplace.
This position directly supports the Manager – Hospitality and Environment in managing and leading the implementation of Operational excellence, business growth and opportunities that enhance the Institute’s reputation and meets industry and community needs in the course areas of Hospitality.
Key Accountabilities include-
- Manage resources and a team of staff providing services to students/commercial clients.
- Manage a budget including providing advice on advise on cost effective delivery strategies.
- Manage recruitment, selection, on-boarding and induction of staff
- Lead and manage teachers, including supervision, performance, professional and vocational currency and development requirements
- Improve the quality of teaching and learning and Participate in the development and implementation of student retention strategies
- Deliver courses/programs in defined areas of expertise as required
- Resolve learner complaints in accordance with Chisholm policy
- Understand market and industry needs and develop responsive, innovative educational solutions for learners, including fee-for-service clients
- Contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of new courses in a defined area, education practices, materials, delivery models and standards
You are highly motivated individual with strong operational and leadership skills and a good understanding of contemporary approaches to education, teaching and learning.
You will have-
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery and development of educational programs
- Demonstrated evidence of ongoing vocational and professional development and currency
- Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Adult Teaching qualification at AQF 6 level or higher (or ability to complete)
- Vocational qualifications relevant to the role
- Registration with professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
