  • Extensive experience in applying principles, concepts, practices and standards of scheduling and EVM principles, in particular, Critical Path Method and Baseline Control preferably within the defence industry
  • Extensive project administration experience with substantial knowledge of and exposure to accounting and budgeting principles
  • Computer literacy with an ability to prepare, analyse, and interpret reports
  • Intermediate to advanced skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications (Open Plan Professional, Cobra, etc.)
  • Significant experience within a customer liaison role
  • Good communication skills including the ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, updates and other documentation to internal stakeholders
  • Leadership skills with proven ability to lead, mentor and supervise a professional team
  • Some bid proposal development experience will be an added advantage

LMA has entered into an arrangement with BAE, Saab and CoA (MIWS) for the execution of all Combat System Integration work related to the Aegis Surface Combatant fleet.The agreement, called the Combat Systems Integration - Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement or CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). The CSI-IPT evolves the current independently executing programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 under an umbrella enterprise organisation formed as a program of programs.The CSI-IPT will be built up with personnel from LMA, BAE, Saab and the CoA to form a collaborative team working across multiple programs to leverage synergies between platforms.The CSI-IPT is engaging each organisation to offer candidates for roles from their existing staff and will select from the pool of candidates provided across all organisations. The CSI-IPT will select candidates on a best-for-enterprise basis, taking into account the need to maintain a balance across all organisations.About the Role:
Working from Mawson Lakes, the Project Planning and Control Lead will report to the Project Planning & Controls Manager. This role is primarily responsible for monitoring and controlling Cost & Schedule for program across a portfolio of Tasking Statements. You will be required to lead the establishment of Performance Management Baselines for all Tasking Statements, and coordinate monthly analysis and reporting activities, ensuring adherence to the CSI Earned Value Management framework. On a day to day basis, you will:
  • Manage the establishment and maintenance of fully integrated schedule and cost baselines for the program
  • Provide SME guidance to stakeholders in the development of appropriate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for upcoming Tasking Statements, and manage the development and maintenance of existing Contract Work Breakdown Structures and associate WBS Dictionaries
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Project Controls team
  • Coordinate month end status, analysis and reporting activities
  • Oversee the delivery of Tasking Statement EVM reporting and analysis data to the IPT on a monthly basis
  • Perform monthly schedule health and EVMS validation to support robust and valid project schedules and EV data
  • Incorporate risk and schedule margin tasks into schedules based on risk registers and undertake Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) as required
  • Ensure all project documentation including the Work Authorisation Documents (WADs, Control Account Plans (CAP) and Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM) are updated and maintained in accordance with the CSI Earned Value Management Plan
