My client is a leading supplier of premium quality meat products to retail outlets and businesses in the foodservice industry across Australia. My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Relationship Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing retail outlets and identifying and acquiring new businesses in the foodservice space. The National Relationship Manager will play a key role in marketing and merchandising our brands and products to ensure maximum visibility and sales growth.
You will
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and objectives;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing retail outlets and foodservice businesses to drive sales and increase market share;
- Identify and prospect new clients in the foodservice industry, including restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and other relevant businesses;
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitor activities;
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies, campaigns, and materials to effectively market and merchandise our brands and products;
- Provide product training and support to clients to enhance their understanding and sales of our products;
- Monitor sales performance and analyse sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly;
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote our products and expand our network; and
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred);
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the food or meat industry;
- Strong understanding of the Australian retail and foodservice market;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels;
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset;
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills; and
- Willingness to travel as required.
