About the role
TAFE Digital is looking for creative and motivated individuals with current industry knowledge and experience in Business Administration as an Education Support Officer on a temporary full-time for up to 12 months. Working in a teaching section on the Strathfield campus, this role is responsible for a range of activities which directly and indirectly supports learning and enhances the education process.
Note: This role does not teach, prepare lessons, or undertake assessments.
About you
You will love this role if you thrive on solving problems and helping others. You will be a part of a dynamic team, supporting students to successfully carry out tasks and understand their learning materials and concepts whilst creating an innovative and exciting educational environment.
You will be technologically savvy with some prior demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and online meeting platforms like MS Teams or Zoom to be able to support students both face to face as well as via connecting platforms.
The successful candidate must have:
- Vocational qualifications in Business Administration
- Demonstrated industry experience within an administration role
- Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team
- Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies
