We are looking for a passionate Educational Leader for this wonderful opportunity to be part of the Anne Sgro Children's Centre team, part time- 4 days per week. Our service is a reputable Exceeding, non for profit, Community long day care centre and funded Kindergarten. We operate Monday-Friday 7am-6pm, under a Committee of Management who value ASCC employees and provide us with perks throughout the year in addition to the below benefits. Qualifications & experience
- Degree in Early Childhood/Bachelor from a recognised University (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA), or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Current Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification
- Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Accredited Child Protection Training
- At least 2 years' experience in a leader position (i.e room leader, Educational Leader, management etc)
Tasks & responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Director/Nominated Supervisor, educators and management, to be responsible in ensuring the development, implementation and reflection of a high-quality program based on service values and philosophy are being met.
- Inspire and mentor educators regarding the implementation of service pedagogy/program to ensure compliance of the National Quality Framework (NQF)-National Law and National Regulations, National Quality Standards and approved learning frameworks
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and/or My Time Our Place Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018)
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators and staff to deliver best outcomes for families and children.
- Organise and maintain booking in training and development sessions for staff
- Oversee centre's celebrations, in-services and excursions.
