About our Team
Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) is the Australian Defence Force's operational level headquarters responsible for the command and control of ADF operations.
Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a major Defence transformation program that will change the way Defence do business. The program will eliminate hundreds of complicated and unnecessary structures, processes, systems and tools, and replace them with a new ERP solution that will provide a single, trusted source of accurate, near real-time information.
Defence ERP will achieve this outcome by implementing common, enterprise processes across Defence to eliminate unnecessary business function specific and siloed structures and reporting. This approach is in line with the First Principles Review recommendation to move away from an “inefficient, federated approach”. Defence will become a single, integrated organisation that can shape and respond quickly to changing circumstances and deliver enhanced capability.
Defence ERP will support the decision making required for HQJOC to optimally plan the employment of FE and associated resources, be they personnel, material or financial, to achieve the outcomes planned by Government.
The HQJOC ERP Directorate will drive the activities associated with JOC business readiness and business continuity for Defence ERP go-live towards the end of 2024 and future ERP Tranche 3 releases to 2028.
