The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability.

The Partner Contracts branch is seeking an EL1 Assistant Director Partner Sourcing to lead sourcing activities for people-focused services for the Partners, Providers, and Home and Living group.
The Partner Sourcing Team is responsible for the development of sourcing strategy, market approach, evaluation, negotiation, contract formation and contract execution activities.
Where you can add valueAs EL1 Assistant Director Partner Sourcing, your primary responsibility will be to lead and mentor your team through the sourcing lifecycle, engaging with business areas in the Partners, Providers, and Home and Living group to deliver sourcing activities.
You will bring an innovative approach to sourcing strategy design, manage the team’s progress through project work, utilise your excellent communication skills to partner with business areas, and build networks to achieve desired agency outcomes.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Leading the delivery of complex sourcing activities including initiation, planning and strategy.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure wider business requirements are translated into contract outcomes.
- Leading evaluation and negotiation teams through contract establishment processes.
- Contributing insights to reviews to support improvement of sourcing processes, systems and best practice achievement.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate corporate governance and compliance processes including audit and risk management controls and issues resolution.
Our ideal candidate will bring an innovative and responsible approach to delivery of sourcing activities to ensure business outcomes are achieved. You will have knowledge and understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, together with experience in government or commercial procurement.
