About the role
This Senior Project Officer will contribute to the work of the SQIS team with a focus on undertaking projects relating to the clinical trials sector and health and medical research, specifically human research ethics committees, and other health sector related projects as required. This will include project management activities, oversighting the production of any publications including literature reviews, stakeholder management, facilitation of project meetings, preparation of project documentation and collaborating with other relevant programs within the Commission.
The successful candidate will have:
- Highly developed project management skills and experience, including a sound ability to manage multiple priorities, recognise common links, identify and manage risks and align key objectives.
- Experience in designing and producing online and/or print reports and website content, with data visualisation experience an advantage.
- Excellent writing skills including writing for the website content and project related materials.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes.
- A professional, positive, and solutions-focused approach to work.
- Sound decision making skills, incorporating initiative and professional judgement.
- Highly developed communication skills including an excellent ability to negotiate, influence and consult with stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to cultivate positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A sound understanding of the relevant guidelines, procedures and legislation relating to human research ethics committee functions and considerations, the Australian healthcare system, government policy context and processes.

- Experience of Australian human research ethics committees.
